Aayaam Ramah – आयामरामः
मङ्गलाचरणम् | Invocation
ॐ नमः आत्मायाः आयामस्वरूपाय रामाय। यत्रैव चेतना तत्रैव त्वं प्रकाशसे॥
Salutations to Ram, the embodiment of the dimensions of the Self. Wherever there is consciousness, there You shine forth.

Visual Inspiration An abstract image representing the multi-dimensional nature of the Self (Atma) with luminous, interconnected layers or spheres, and a central, unifying light of Ram pervading all dimensions. The image should convey depth, expansion, and profound spiritual interconnectedness in an ethereal style.
Metaphysical Equation
• \( d_i \) = \( i \)-th dimension or layer of Ātman (e.g., koshas like Annamaya, Pranamaya, Manomaya; or states of consciousness like waking, dream, deep sleep)
• \( R(d_i) \) = Experience or realization of Ram’s presence within dimension \( d_i \)
• \( A \) = Absolute Ram — the constant, unchanging, all-pervading reality
Vedantic Commentary (व्याख्या)
This sutra illuminates Ram as the fundamental, unchanging reality that permeates every dimension and layer of the Ātman. We perceive the Self through various veils—from the physical body (Annamaya Kosha) to the blissful sheath (Anandamaya Kosha), and through different states of consciousness (waking, dream, deep sleep). Each of these is an “āyāma” or dimension of our experience.
The equation posits that the presence of Ram, R(di), within any given dimension di is not variable, but is always the Absolute Ram, A. This implies that Ram is not something to be found at a specific depth or dimension, but rather the unchanging, pervasive substratum that lends reality to all dimensions. The journey through these layers is not about discovering something new, but about realizing the constant, inherent presence of Ram that has always been there, unconditioned by the perceived dimension.
To realize Aayaam Ramah is to dissolve the illusion of separation between dimensions, understanding that Ram is the unifying thread, the singular truth that sustains the multifaceted experience of the Self. It is the wisdom that, regardless of the experienced state or layer of existence, Ram, the Absolute, is the constant underlying reality.
Poetic Insight – Aayaam Ramah
कितने आयाम, कितनी माया? राम ही है हर छाया। देख न उसे कहीं बाहर, हर भीतर है वही राम का साया।
How many dimensions, how much illusion? Ram alone is every reflection. Seek Him not anywhere outside, Within every “inside” is that very shade of Ram.
